  • Monk fruit is a Natural Sweetener Extracted from Monk fruit.
  • Commonly knows as Luo Han Guo & Budha fruit.
  • FDA approved monk fruit as a sweetener in year 2010.
  • It contains natural sugar like – Fructose & Sucrose.
  • It gets its intense sweetness from unique antioxidant called Mongrosides.

During processing, Mongrosides are separated from the fresh- pressed juice. Therefore, monk fruit sweetener does not contain fructose or glucose

Properties :-

  • 100–300 X sweeter than sugar.
  • Zero calorie.
  • Have antioxidant properties.
  • Monk fruit sweetener is also mixed with other natural products, such as inulin or erythritol, to reduce the intensity of the sweetness.
